  2. You don’t have Social Security benefits.
  3. You have both Medicare and Medicaid (Dual Eligible).
  4. Your income is higher than certain limit.

Medicare Part B Deductible

Like any other plans, you have to pay certain deductibles before Part B kicks in. You have to pay $166/year as deductible before Medicare starts paying for the cost incurred. One more thing to remember is that deductible is not the only thing you have to pay. Once deductible is met, you’re responsible for 20% (coinsurance) of amount approved by Medicare for the services, supplies and doctor’s visit.

Signing up for Medicare part B is really easy and there are multiple ways to do that.
